A Personal Message from the Owner Dear Friends and patrons of Llywelyn's Pub, Recently many of you have had your debit and/or credit cards compromised. Unfortunately, one common link to the majority of those compromised is Llywelyn's Pub. Let me assure you that neither I, nor anyone on my staff, committed this crime. Many of you may even have received an email from the Assistant District Attorney of Johnson County , Vanessa M. Riebli. I have been in touch with both Detective Byron Pierce and Detective Candace Bridges of OPPD since the beginning of this situation. OPPD, among other agencies, currently has an open investigation going and over the last few days, and with Llywelyn's Pub's full cooperation, they have determined that it was not an internal breach here at Llywelyn's Pub. Detective Pierce has informed me that preliminary indications are that Llywelyn's Pub was a victim of a sophisticated and vicious attack of our credit card processing server. At my expense and voluntarily, I immediately pulled all current computer server equipment, and installed all new equipment as a security precaution on our end, before the equipment has even been determined to have been infected in any way. This, we have been told by  both our credit card processor, our point of sale service provider, and Detective Pierce, will secure the credit card processing from Llywelyn's Pub from this point on, and help in the investigation to determine the breach and capture the criminals involved. I, myself, have had my own credit card compromised along with other members of my family, my staff, and my friends. I have done everything possible to make sure that we are secure here at Llywelyn's Pub and have been told we are. I have been assured by Detective Pierce that this was not our fault and that professional cyber hackers can and do compromise systems daily. In the two years of our existence here in the Johnson County area, I have been fortunate enough to have operated a pub where such wonderful people like to gather and have fun. You all have made being a business owner in the area a rewarding experience.
